This is the welcome screen of the KmPg2 encoder.

When you open a video file, all its properties are autodetected, and the wizard checks if the video can be properly decoded.

You can select a subtitle file, which will be added to the MPEG2 stream. Very convenient when you are converting a AVI movie to DVD compatible MPEG2.

Here you can select a processing profile for your video. You can create these profiles using the KmPg2 Profiler.

KmPg2 can convert your video file to any desired output format. You could use this feature to produce two DVD disks of one movie: One for PAL DVD players and one for NTSC DVD players.

Controls for the output quality.

You can create previews of parts of the input video: A short clip will be converted to MPEG2 using the selected settings. You can use this to experiment and optimise the output quality.
